About Bethel Island

In Contra Costa County, CA, located about an hour drive from San Francisco or San Jose, Bethel Island is located in the heart of the San Joaquin – Sacramento river delta. We are a community of about 2,500 residents on a 5.5 square-mile island. Accessible by a single bridge, Bethel Island is home to an economically diverse population and draws boaters and fishermen year-round to enjoy the waterways. It is a close-knit community that we at Bethel Island Children’s Support strive to improve for the 200+ children who call it home.
